Jason’s hair transplant took place on 26th March 2026 at our award-winning hair transplant clinic on Harley Street, in London. Dr Ahmad Moussa led the procedure, supported by a team of highly qualified technicians.
Jason Cundy opted for an FUE procedure, which is the least invasive (and most popular) hair transplant technique in the world [1]. It involves surgically extracting individual clusters of follicles from the back of the scalp and implanting them in the thinning areas.
To achieve a natural hairline, Jason Cundy has had 3,000 grafts harvested and implanted around his hairline, temples, and mid-scalp. A 3,000 graft hair transplant is a fairly large procedure — this is around the maximum number of grafts we’ll normally extract in a single session.

Unfortunately Jason went on to develop male pattern baldness, with his hairline thinning considerably throughout his 20s. Since then, it seems to have mostly stabilised, whether due to finasteride, minoxidil, or just getting older. It’s very natural for a mature hairline to be higher and more uneven than when you’re young.
Not all men with male pattern baldness progress to the latter stages of the Norwood Scale — it depends on your genes. Just prior to his hair transplant, Jason’s hair was around stage 3-4 on the Norwood Scale:
